CSIO starts incubation cell to help fund flow from industry

Chandigarh: With the government’s huge cut on research and development for scientific organizations, the Central Scientific Instruments Organization (CSIO) has started its incubation cell. This will allow academia- industrial partnership, and also help in generating funds. The cell – named ‘Audhyogik Sahyog Kendra’ – has been started as an incubation cell for the scientific instruments industry in Ambala and nearby areas. “In this cell, we will be able to offer solutions to industries looking for newer technology. Our scientists have been doing research and getting them published. But now is the need to translate it into products with the help of industries at the incubation centre,” said CSIO director Prof RK Sinha…
