‘Fisheries contribute substantially to economy’

MYSORE: The Director of CSIR-CFTRI, Ram Rajashekaran, has said that the Mysore-based Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI) is working on developing efficient small-scale processing machinery that can be placed in small kiosks selling fish.

Prof. Rajashekaran said the processing technologies could address a different spectrum of investment scenario. He said the institute had developed a pilot model of a fish meat extractor…..
