Say goodbye to mosquitoes

Mosquito repellants such as chemical vaporisers, mats and mosquito coils are tolerated in spite of the strong chemical odour only because the alternative – to be bitten by this pesky and dangerous insects is worse. The distinct chemical smell and fumes of most repellants incite breathing problems and allergy in many.

In order to eliminate the discomfort of using chemical mosquito repellants, scientists from the Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, (CIMAP), a frontier plants research laboratory of CSIR, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India have successfully developed an effective herbal repellant that serves the same purpose – drive away mosquitoes. For the first time in India, Bangalore based company Strategi is manufacturing this pioneering herbal repellant with the technology received from CSIR….
