Farmers learn about gains of bio-fertilisers

LUCKNOW: To inform farmers about the utility of microbial bio-fertilisers, the National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) in collaboration with department of agriculture, UP organised a one-day training programme on application of microbial bio-fertilisers for enhanced productivity and quality improvement of agriculture production at Kalli (west) village situated on Rae Bareli Road.

UPCC chief Rita Bahuguna Joshi inauguarted the programme. She praised low cost microbial bio-fertiliser developed by NBRI.

The farmers were told that microbial fertilisers are available at subsidised rates and that they can benefit by adopting low cost farming practices of organic cultivation, as it will gradually improve organic matter of soil and help in increasing the crop yield. The farmers were also told about the other technologies developed by NBRI…..
