CBRI team inspects sagging Janak Setu

NEW DELHI: A team from Roorkee-based Central Building Research Institute today inspected the Janak Bridge, closed for traffic due to sagging of the structure, but a date for starting the restoration work is yet to be decided. The team of experts from CBRI carried out extensive inspection of Janak Setu with regard to its overall structural stability and the recent sagging. “The team was accompanied by Engineer-in-Chief and other senior engineers from MCD. The matter was subsequently discussed at length with the Commissioner also. The final conclusion regarding the restoration will take a few days.MCD will take further action on receipt of the conclusive report of the CBRI,” an official of the civic body said….
