NGRI records earthquake in Hindu Kush mountains

HYDERABAD: The seismic observatory of the National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) here recorded the earthquake that occurred in theHindu Kush mountain ranges in Afghanistan on Monday.

As a result of the quake, some parts of northern India felt tremors. There have been reports that the tremors were felt in Delhi, Gurgaon and Jaipur.

The head of the seismic observatory of NGRI, D Srinagesh, told The Times of India that the observatory had recorded the magnitude of 5.8 on the Richter scale and the origin was at 3.19 pm (IST)…..
