Neeri scientists leave farmers impressed in first interaction

NAGPUR: WhenSantosh Ghagre, a farmer from Karanja-Ghadge in Wardha district, first walked down the corridors of National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (Neeri), he appeared a little sceptical about the hi-tech equipment in the labs. But within an hour, he and many others like him were more than convinced that the institute was also working for people like them. Not only were they impressed by the simple and down to earth behaviour of the otherwise ‘sophisticated’ scientists, but were all praise for some of the daily utility products developed by Neeri….
